From refugee family roots to student leadership, every step has been shaped by the belief that our greatest strength comes from lifting others as we climb.
My father arrived in Switzerland as a refugee, beginning our family's journey of resilience and hope.
Class president (Klassenchef) since first grade through all school years. Continuous leadership role from elementary through Unterstufe, developing strong organizational and communication skills.
From 4th grade (2016/2017), I participated in the cantonal gifted education program 'Forschen und Entdecken' (Research and Discover), completing it through 6th grade (2018/2019). My greatest weakness—and simultaneously my greatest strength—became apparent: My curiosity was barely containable, leading me to become enthusiastic about many topics simultaneously while struggling with setting clear priorities. This versatility became the foundation for acquiring a broad range of skills and learning to flexibly connect knowledge from different areas.
Completed one year of Wirtschaftsmittelschule (WMS) program, gaining valuable business foundations while developing a deeper consciousness about sustainable practices and mindful decision-making. Through computer science classes, I realized that general knowledge has more value for me than specialized business focus, leading to my strategic decision to switch educational paths.
Successfully transitioned to Gymnasium education system starting in 2023, embracing the broader academic curriculum that provides the general knowledge foundation I value. This decision has proven excellent for my diverse interests and leadership development.
Began volunteering with UMA Leben & Lernen, supporting refugee families in their integration journey. Continued leadership roles while expanding community involvement.
Earned Google Digital Marketing certification, expanding skills in online marketing and digital strategy. Continued leadership development and community engagement.
Led campus sustainability initiatives, achieving 30% waste reduction and organizing the 222-year anniversary time capsule project.
Student Council President at Alte Kantonsschule Aarau since 2025. Exploring paths between technology+business, medicine+technology, or natural sciences. Learning management skills through private courses.
My father's journey taught me that challenges are opportunities in disguise, and that persistence combined with community support can overcome any obstacle.
Serving as Student Council President showed me how important it is for underrepresented voices to have seats at decision-making tables.
Learning to code opened my eyes to how technology can democratize access to opportunities and amplify positive impact.
Every meaningful achievement in my journey has been the result of collaboration, mentorship, and lifting others up.
The individual learning goal report from 5th grade (2017/2018) serves as an example of how I approached school learning during the gifted program. This document illustrates the foundation of my current approach to challenges and learning opportunities.
This report demonstrates my learning approach during the cantonal gifted education program, showing both strengths in curiosity and areas for development in priority setting.
